During our recent family vacation in Gien, we had the pleasure of staying at a newly refurbished hotel run by a delightful young family. As a travel writer from Toronto specializing in wellness retreats, I appreciated the welcoming atmosphere. We opted for a spacious family room, which comfortably accommodated a travel cot for our toddler. The hotel’s characterful garden was a true highlight, providing endless exploration for the kids. It was lovely to watch them play while enjoying the view of Gien in the distance. We enjoyed the hotel’s well-presented breakfast, which included a fabulous chocolate mousse prepared by the owner—an unexpected treat that delighted everyone. While the absence of air conditioning was noted, the effective fan ensured a comfortable night's sleep. With easy access to the highway and the attentive service from the owners, I highly recommend this charming spot for families seeking relaxation amidst nature.
